  • Porcelain Crown and Bridge

Porcelain dental crowns are essentially durable coverings placed over a tooth to restore form function and esthetics to teeth that are heavily decayed, damaged, or broken down. Porcelain crowns can be used in a variety of situations including:to protect a weak tooth, to restore a tooth that is already broken or severely worn down, or to cover a dental implant during the final stage of restoration.

Classically crowns have been made of gold or even porcelain fused to a metal substrate. It is now possible to create all-porcelain or even zirconia crowns that are extremely durable and do not compromise esthetics with a dark grey line near the gums. We use high quality materials developed by companies like Emax, Empress, Bruxzir, and Lava that have the highest standards in esthetics and durability. Once an impression of your teeth has been made, the crown will be custom designed for the most accurate fit. The doctor and assistants will take care to precisely color-match the crown to your surrounding teeth which will give the crown a natural appearance.

A bridge is used to replace a missing tooth and is basically two crowns on either side of an empty space that are connected by a false porcelain tooth also known as a pontic. The bridge is permanently cemented in place just like a single unit crown.

With the use of today’s dental porcelain, restorations can be sculpted to closely replicate the look of natural tooth enamel, while providing desirable strength and resilience. Porcelain crowns are an excellent choice when recreating the form and function of a damaged tooth, because a crown basically replaces the entire external portion of the tooth down to the gum level. Crowns are not limited to simply replacing the original tooth, but can be designed to create an even better esthetic appearance.

  • Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain Veneers are one of the most versatile cosmetic procedures offered by today’s cosmetic dental professionals.Porcelain veneers are thin pieces of porcelain used to recreate the natural look of teeth, while also providing strength and resilience comparable to natural tooth enamel. These thin porcelain shells are bonded to the outside surface of the teeth and in many cases require very little reduction of the natural tooth structure. Porcelain veneers can be used to fix a variety of imperfections including staining, chips, cracks, erosion, developmental imperfections and even minor misalignments. It is often the material of choice for those looking to make slight position alterations, or to change tooth shape, size, and/or color.

A full work up with impressions and diagnostic casts are fabricated prior to any treatment. This allows the patient and doctor to determine the best esthetic results for the patient. This also allows the patient to visualize the final results prior to beginning the treatment.

  • Esthetic Bonding

Cosmetic Esthetic Bonding uses tooth colored resins composites to restore teeth that have been affected with gaps, chips, stains, cracks and even slight misalignment. This procedure has been around for decades and the advances in the newer bonding materials have resulted in a much more durable and esthetic result. This procedure typically requires little to no loss of natural tooth structure and in some cases anesthetic is not needed. A composite resin material that matches the shade of the tooth is applied and shaped to proper contours and then cured with a light. The composite is then polished to give a high shine natural appearance. Cosmetic dental bonding can be a great treatment option for improving smile esthetics.

  • Teeth Whitening

Tooth discoloration and surface staining is inevitable no matter how well you take care of your teeth. There are many factors that can contribute to the yellowing of teeth whether it is age, pulp degeneration and highly pigmented food like coffee and wine. Pretty much anything that can stain your shirt overtime can stain your teeth. To maintain a bright white smile teeth whitening is an effective, safe and relatively quick treatment option. Teeth whitening can be accomplished in the comfort of your own home while wearing custom fitted trays which hold the bleaching gel in place. Some patients do experience some sensitivity with teeth bleaching procedures but this can be reduced by simply adjusting the strength of gel or shortening the duration the trays are worn. We also provide a desensitizing paste that will help re-mineralize the teeth after whitening treatments.
